AUTIX LLC (“AUTIX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the AUTIX® platform (“Service”).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, and profile photo through our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign up using a social login (Google, Apple, etc.), we receive the profile information you authorize.

2.2 Vehicle Information

You may provide vehicle details including year, make, model, VIN, modifications, maintenance records, photos, and documents. This information is stored in your vehicle profile and used to power features like xEstimate™ valuations.

2.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and payment history (amounts, dates, and transaction IDs) for billing purposes.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features used, QR code scans, and interaction data. This helps us improve the platform and your experience.

2.5 Device & Browser Information

We collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers when you access the Service.

2.6 Communications

If you contact us via email, contact form, or in-app chat, we retain the content of those communications to provide support and improve our services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Generate AI-powered vehicle valuations (xEstimate™)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional communications (account confirmations, billing receipts, security alerts)
  • Send marketing communications (product updates, newsletters) with your consent
  • Facilitate events (xEvents™), marketplace listings, and community features
  • Track referrals and manage the Ambassador Program
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform, including:
    • Clerk (authentication)
    • Stripe (payment processing)
    • Supabase (database and storage)
    • AWS / Amplify (hosting and infrastructure)
    • Resend (transactional email)
    • Cloudinary (image hosting)
    • Crisp (customer support chat)
  • Public Profiles: If your profile is set to public, your vehicle profiles, username, display name, and avatar are visible to anyone with your profile URL or QR code.
  • Event Organizers: If you register for an xEvent, the event organizer may receive your name, email, and registration details.
  • Garage Collaborators: Users you invite to collaborate on a garage can view the vehicle data within that garage.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Service.

We may use analytics services to understand how the Service is used. These services may collect anonymized usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements).

Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encrypted database connections, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and share, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
