One of only 305 manufactured and imported into the US in 1987 and one of only 881 turbo look cabriolets manufactured in total.
The M4 91 “Turbo Look” package was manufactured in the United States from 1984 to 1989 in response to the full turbo engine not meeting US emissions requirements. This package was offered in the US to those wishing to have the “turbo look”, but unable to purchase the full turbo engine in the US because of the emission requirements. Ultimately, the emission requirements were met and the short run on these cars discontinued, hence the small number produced.
