The Carrera RS is regarded as one of the finest sports cars of the 1970’s. It was revealed at the 1972 Paris Auto Show and was factory special built to meet the homologation rules of FIA Group 4 racing.

These cars had a legendary racing history. This car is a numbers matching factory M472 “touring” version of the RS. The Carrera RS was never sold in the US.

This car was originally sold in Austria and at some point was shipped to the US. It was the subject of 3000 hour complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration in the early 2000’s.

Painted in its original Tangerine, I’ve owned this car since 2012 and drive it regularly.
