“The Quarry Car”
In the late 70’s, the car was sold to a movie production company where it was a featured movie prop. The plot involved a schizophrenic woman stole her Doctor’s car and was chased around town with the final scene when it was driven off a cliff.
The wreckage sat in the bottom of a Rock quarry for a few years where it was rescued by Gregory Marshall, a prolific and very successful Aston Martin racer. He took the car to RS Williams and it became one of the original infamous 25 Lightweight race cars.
Peter Levonis, the owner of Aston Martin after David Brown, bought the car and sent it and 2 others to America to promote car sales in the US. After a successful racing career in America the car was sold, raced and eventually heavily crashed at Watkins Glen by another famous Aston racer, Jack Boxstrum. The car sat in a barn for +25 years where it was found. The new and current owner spent 4 years restoring it to its current condition.
It has since raced at Laguna Seca, Lime Rock, Palm Beach and Miami Homestead. It is scheduled for numerous events in 2023.
