One of 196 Factory Supercharged Y Block 8 cylinder F Code Thunderbirds built by Ford to homolagate production to race at Daytona Beach 1957 to answer the challenge by Chevrolet's 1957 Corvette fuel injection sportscar.

In January 1957 Fifteen D/F Thunderbirds were built and won the challenge at Daytona by winning the race against the Corvettes. This is a three owner F Bird from new and was body off restored by Hill's Restoration in Racine, Ohio the foremost authority in restoring award winning 1955 thru 1957 Ford Thunderbirds.
